Traci AndrighettiResearch Associate

Traci Andrighetti is a doctoral student of foreign language education at the University of Texas at Austin. She is an assistant instructor of first-year Italian and is also a translator of Italian literature. Her research focuses on the use of dialects and varieties of Italian in literature as a means with which to teach Italian language and culture. Prior to her doctoral study, Traci received B.A.s in Sociology and Italian and M.A.s in History and Foreign Language Education from UT.

The 2007 Texas Language Summit assessed the economic, social, and cultural imperatives for language competency in the state of Texas in order to develop a “language roadmap” for achieving the multilingual and culturally competent workforce needed to maintain the state’s competitive economic edge in the business environment of the future.
